Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee that we will receive residency after our baby is born in Brazil?

No one can guarantee an immigration outcome, which rests with the Brazilian authorities. Under Migration Law 13.445/2017, parents of a Brazilian-born child have a defined residency pathway, and we prepare and support your application so it is complete and correctly submitted.

Does having a baby in Brazil make us Brazilian citizens?

The child born on Brazilian soil is generally Brazilian by birth. For the parents, the law provides a residency route and a shorter naturalisation timeline, but naturalisation is decided by the authorities and is never automatic or guaranteed.

Which cities in Paraná do you cover for maternity care?

We work primarily in Curitiba, which has the widest choice of accredited private maternity hospitals, and also support families in Foz do Iguaçu, Paranaguá and other Paraná cities depending on your location and preferences.

Do you provide the medical care yourselves?

No. We are an administrative and relocation partner, not a medical or legal provider. We connect you with independent private hospitals and obstetricians, and with licensed Brazilian attorneys (OAB) for any legal counsel.

Can you help register the birth if we don't speak Portuguese?

Yes. A bilingual coordinator accompanies you through the Cartório de Registro Civil process and arranges sworn (juramentada) translations of any foreign documents so the Certidão de Nascimento is issued smoothly.
