Frequently asked questions

Can I open the company without living in Brazil?

Yes. We can incorporate remotely by appointing a legal representative (procurador) through a power of attorney. You will still need a CPF, which we help you obtain.

What company type do most foreigners use?

Most choose an LTDA (sociedade limitada), which limits liability to the invested capital and can have one or more partners. We advise on the best fit for your activity.

Is there a minimum share capital?

For a standard LTDA there is generally no fixed legal minimum. Certain activities, licenses or a future investor visa application may require a specific capital level, which we plan with you.

Are you a law firm?

No. We are your administrative and relocation partner and we work alongside licensed Brazilian attorneys (OAB) and accountants for legal drafting, counsel and filings.

Can the company own property in Brazil?

Yes, a Brazilian company can own urban property. Rural and agricultural land carries restrictions under Law 5.709/71, and any brokerage runs through a CRECI-licensed broker.
